Mustique is the third largest island in the Grenadines, 20 km South of St Vincent.
Fifty years ago, Mustique Island was bought by Lord Glennconner. After he offered a plot to Princess Margaret, the island started to receive interest from the media. It soon became a good idea to build a hotel and later on, to establish a design concept for the island as a whole. The island’s character is very well preserved.
Mustique offers guests the liberty to choose if they want to explore the area or just stay in the comfort of their private villa.
There is so much to do on this island that will keep guests excited and urge them to return. From going to one of the legendary house parties where guests from different villas can get to know each other to scubadiving, sailing, horse riding or playing tennis, you can be as active as you wish on this magical island. But why not getting pampered with a spa treatment or relaxing by the swimming pool for a while too?
There are two bodies of water surrounding Mustique: The Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. The main beach is Macaroni Bay, which has lovely waves and a grass area to picnic. The other is Lagoon Beach, which is on the quieter Caribbean Sea. It’s perfect for young children and there is a picnic area just in front of the lagoon. There is a path from this beach to the secluded Geliceaux Bay, which you can only reach by foot following the rocky path to the left. There are many other beaches on the island. Guests are free to picnic on any beaches but one of the best is Lagoon Beach where there is a barbeque, available to use.
Mustique Island is ideal for families thanks to its privacy and security; parents can truly relax while their children are having fun with their new friends or in the care of a babysitter.
Many visitors are so charmed by the tranquil island life, the unequivocal hospitality and friendliness of the staff and the sense of wellbeing this holiday island gives them that they fall under its spell and return every year.
