Villa Maria is located within walking distance of the famous beach of Soros and only a 15-minute drive from the town of Antiparos.
The island of Antiparos, located in the heart of the Cyclades Islands cluster, is the ideal summer resort for peaceful, quiet vacations. The island covers an area of 35-square kilometers and its tallest peak is Prophet Elia which is found at the centre of the island.
The soil, being volcanic in origin, is mainly barren but Antiparos is endowed with pure natural beauty: golden sandy beaches (due to its long shape the island has 57 kilometres of beautiful coastline), crystal-clear waters and verdant landscapes dominated by cedar trees captivate the soul.
Above all, there is the breathtaking cave of Antiparos (possibly the oldest cave in Greece) whose arched entrance is guarded by the picturesque eighteenth-century church of Agios loannis Spiliotis (St John of the Cave). An enormous stalagmite at the entrance is the oldest in Europe and is estimated to be 45 million years old. On descending the 411 steps to the heart of the cave more than a 100 metres deep, visitors face a truly breathtaking spectacle of spectacular formations of stalactites and stalagmites at every turn.
