A gorgeous villa on the island of Menorca, with impressive sea views
This exclusive, brand new villa opened its doors to its first guests in July 2015. The owners, passionate about Menorca and hospitality management, have spent many years renovating this old Menorcan farmhouse, located in the countryside of San Climent. They have paid extreme attention to detail to offer guests all the facilities of a five-star boutique hotel but with all the advantages of a private villa.
It is believed that the name of the villa, Cugó Gran, has its roots in the words Cugulló Gran, meaning ‘grand peak’. As such, the villa is gifted with impressive 180° sea views.
The welcoming concierge team takes care of guests before and during their stay to answer perfectly to all of their needs. A member of staff is on site 24/7.
The property is divided into a main house and a guesthouse that used to be stables. There are twelve en-suite bedrooms in total, sleeping a maximum of 24 guests. Cots can be arranged for small children.
Seven rooms are in the main house: two are on the ground floor, four are on the first flour, and one suite is on the top floor. Four more bedrooms belong to the adjoining Boyera guesthouse. These are all on the ground level. Both houses are fully air conditioned and have under-floor heating for the winter.
The landscape gardens are very pleasant. Guests enjoy spending sunny afternoons by the swimming pool or having fun in the play area. After a relaxing day or a busy one exploring the island, guests can take an aperitif outside and then enjoy an al fresco dinner.
Indeed, one of the many assets of Cugó Gran is definitely its Mediterranean cuisine. The chef selects ingredients of the highest quality and prepares original and gastronomic dishes, skilfully presented. Fine local wines from the neighbouring Sa Forana Estate incorporating grapes from Cugó Gran’s own vineyard are on offer, as well as world wines and spirits.
Cugó Gran is the ideal place for a sunny and peaceful holiday for large families or groups of friends. It is also a great property for weddings or corporate events of up to 300 guests.

Menorca has more beaches than Ibiza and Mallorca combined and has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1993. UNESCO recognised Menorca for its diversified Mediterranean landscapes, the species of animals and plants found exclusively on the island, the preservation of the traditional rural countryside, the archaeological and ethnological heritage sites, and the megalithic stone monuments.
Menorca is an ideal spot to rent a villa with friends or family in order to enjoy the Mediterranean Sea, outdoor activities, good food, the lovely Catalan language, and much more.
