Luxury retreat surrounded by unspoilt nature and the Indian Ocean

The Presidential Villa is part of an estate with 20 villas, all of which have been entirely constructed by the local community and represent Mozambique’s first eco boutique retreat Azura Benguerra.

This villa enjoys a very secluded location just 150 metres from the beach. The property perfectly combines traditional features with more modern amenities, ensuring that guests enjoy the unique features of Mozambique whilst still experiencing all the comfort required.

There are plenty of relaxation areas where guests can gather, including a TV room, sitting/dining area with ‘wine bar’, and the area around the huge infinity pool spanning the front of the villa. There is a treehouse deck from where guests can take in the views of Bazaruto Island and the Indian Ocean beyond.

The property has three en-suite bedrooms, all with a unique style and colourful decorations.

The villa has a butler/host who will ensure that guests have everything they need.

Guests can enjoy a variety of activities including diving and snorkelling, and watch the turtles who nest on the island’s outer shores.

Benguerra island offers a range of activities and experiences for guests to enjoy, including visits to the local community and the school that was built by the Rainbow Fund charity. Climb the dunes, some of which are scattered with the remnants of ancient Arab pottery, for an amazing view of the archipelago. Visit the island’s lakes and spot a crocodile or two. Discover the local fauna and flora, or follow the walking trail.

Dining locations range from informal ‘foot in the sand’ dining to feasting in the comfort and intimacy of your own villa, as well as dinners in the Jellyfish restaurant. For the wine connoisseur, the wine cellar is always stocked with fine wines from the owner’s vineyards, flown in from France’s Loire Valley.
