Chongwe River House is a one-of-a-kind luxury property with unique features, created by renowned architect Neil Rocher. This private villa overlooks the beautiful Chongwe River, after which it was named and has a stunning mountainous backdrop.
Guests can enjoy their large swimming pool as animals wander past or drink from the river. The pool is surrounded by a spacious and tree-shaded deck furnished with sun loungers, an al fresco dining table, and comfortable sofa seating perfect for relaxing and wildlife spotting.
The two-storey house is built to blend effortlessly with its surroundings with walls that follow the natural lines of the branches that seem to have grown from within, coloured pebble accents in the ceilings, and furniture carved from a fallen winterthorn tree.
Within the two-storey house is a spacious lounge and dining area, and four luxurious bedrooms. Each bedroom features either a king-sized or twin bed surrounded by mosquito nets, an en-suite bathroom with rainfall shower and open-air bathtub, and a private outdoor area.
The property benefits from its own safari guide and game viewing vehicle. The villa is staffed with a house manager, a team of chefs, and a full complement of support staff.
Chongwe River House is perfect for families with older children (8 years and over) or small groups looking for an exclusive safari experience without compromising on luxury.

Chongwe River House is set on Chongwe River, a quiet tributary of the Zambezi, which borders the Lower Zambezi National Park in Zambia.
Visitors can enjoy a host of activities from game drives, walking safaris, and bird watching to canoeing, boat cruises, and fishing to camp outs, nature photography and star gazing.
