A beautifully-restored 18th century farmhouse in the heart of Apulia
Masseria Pezza is a beautifully-restored farmhouse in the heart of Apulia. Surrounded by 20 hectares of private land with vineyards, fruit orchards, and an organic vegetable garden that guests can help themselves to, the villa offers an authentic rural retreat.
The main courtyard features a large swimming pool framed by a vast terrace, offering plenty of spaces for al fresco relaxation. A comfortable lounge and dining area lies under the shade of a pergola, whilst poolside loungers offer a place to soak up the summer sun.
For panoramic views of the surrounds, guests can head up to the roof terrace, or for a quiet place to enjoy a holiday read, the sunny courtyard beside the garden villa is the perfect spot.
Comprised of a main house and a garden villa, the property sleeps up to 12 adults plus two additional guests on sofa beds. The property has been tastefully renovated and restored, keeping the 18th century structure along with many of its original features including the large, arched windows, exposed stone walls, and high, vaulted ceilings that emphasise the spacious interiors.
The modern furnishings have a sightly retro feel, with handmade pieces using natural materials and colours, whilst traditional agricultural equipment has been cleverly incorporated as design pieces. Despite the vintage feel, guests can enjoy all the modern comforts expected in a luxury villa from Wi-Fi to underfloor heating and air conditioning. However, without the distraction of a TV in the property, guests can truly immerse themselves in the rural lifestyle.
The main house features a large, bright living and dining room with a comfortable lounge area featuring a fireplace and a wooden dining table. There is also a small but well-appointed kitchen, and an adjoining sitting room with a breakfast table.
There are three spacious bedrooms in the main house, all with king-size beds and en-suite facilities. The bedroom on the ground floor also features a private living room with a sofa bed and fireplace, whilst the two first floor bedrooms boast private terraces overlooking the vineyards and beyond.
The garden villa has been transformed from the old stables into a beautiful guest house that is no less impressive than the main building. It features a spacious living room with comfortable seating and a large dining table. Adjoining the living area is the modern, designer kitchen with a stylish breakfast bar.
There are three large double bedrooms in the garden villa, all with en-suite facilities, as well as direct access to the property’s inner courtyard, offering a quiet place for guests to relax.
Masseria Pezza is the ultimate countryside retreat for those looking for luxury and authenticity combined.
NB: Due to the remote location of the property, Wi-Fi and phone signal may be weak or intermittent at times.
