A historic property masterfully transformed into a luxury villa with a swimming pool and beautifully-landscaped gardens
Located on the Tuscan Coast, Villa Talamo is a historic property dating back to the 18th century. Formerly a monastery, it has been carefully restored and converted into a luxury villa sleeping up to 20 guests. With views over the Tyrrhenian Sea and islands of Montecristo and Giglio in one direction and rolling Tuscan hills in the other, it feels like a true natural paradise.
Spanning four hectares, the grounds provide an abundance of space for outdoor relaxation and recreation. An extensive pool area features an infinity swimming pool surrounded by sun loungers, a pool house with a bar and a changing room, and a shaded outdoor lounge area with views over the Gulf of Talamone. There is access to the sea from the pool area, with a small public beach around 100 metres away.
Across the sprawling grounds, guests can also relax or dine on the main terrace in front of the villa shaded by pine, palm and wild olive trees or in the pretty courtyard surrounded by vine-covered walls, which create a shield from the wind during cooler months. There’s also a rose garden, perfect for evening walks, plus a vegetable garden bursting with produce for the chef to use when cooking up tasty feasts.
Inside the three-storey villa, each room is decorated with carefully-selected antique furniture and furnishings creating a refined elegance. The ground floor comprises the main sitting room with an ancient fireplace perfect for chilly evenings, a cosy study with another fireplace and well-stocked bookshelves, a TV snug, an elegant dining room, and a fully-equipped kitchen.
On the first floor is the master apartment comprising two double bedrooms with en-suite facilities, a spacious living room overlooking the terrace to the sea, and a kitchenette. There are also three more double rooms on this level, three with garden views and en-suite bathrooms and two with sea views and private bathrooms just a few steps away. The final three bedrooms are on the second floor; one double with a private bathroom and two suites with a double bedroom and en-suite bathroom, plus a second room with a sofa bed suitable for a child.
With its expansive grounds, spacious interiors, and stunning location, Villa Talamo is ideal for larger groups looking for a luxury holiday on the Tuscan Coast.
