An idyllic historical residence in the Umbrian countryside
Villa Paradiso is a historical residence situated in an expansive agricultural estate that covers 1200 hectares in the pristine Valle Della Spine in the Umbrian countryside. Surrounded by olive groves, some dating as far back as the 18th century, rugged hills and mountains, this villa is an oasis of relaxation and unspoilt beauty. The area neighbouring the estate is an EU Site of Community Importance (SIC), thanks to its thriving wildlife and environmental varieties.
Due to its carefully-preserved architecture and interior design, this luxury villa allows guests to travel back in time and experience a glimpse of Italian history. The defensive turrets testify to the Villa’s tumultuous past when it served as a defence fortress. Nonetheless, the property’s ballroom and dawn fresco attest to the beginning of the more opulent and splendid 18th century.
The property has three levels and features seven bedrooms that can accommodate up to 14 guests. Thanks to its generous indoor and outdoor spaces, the property is suitable for private events of up to 150 people.
The ground floor is made up of communal areas, which include an elegant living room, a breakfast area, a library, a billiard room, the kitchen, the cellar and a guest bathroom.
The first floor features an impressive ballroom, another living room, a private chapel, an elegant dining room, two double and two twin bedrooms, three bathrooms, and an additional guest bathroom.
On the second floor, guests will find a third living room, one double/triple bedroom, one double bedroom, one single bedroom, and two bathrooms.
Villa Paradiso is the perfect secluded escape from the crowded cities. Guests can either spend time admiring the manicured estate, the beautiful architecture and room decor, or enjoy some of the activities that can be arranged on request. From day trips to wineries and olive groves, truffle hunting and foraging to cooking lessons, as well as guided cultural excursion, guests will find an activity to make their holiday unforgettable.

Along with its unspoilt natural beauty, Umbria has a complex cultural heritage with an abundance of Unesco sites to visit and festivals to attend. A series of important buildings such as churches, monasteries, fortresses, and hydrogeological sites are part of the Unesco heritage scheme: The Longobards in Italy, Places of Power (568-774 A.D.). The buildings testify to the crucial role the Lombards played in the spiritual and cultural awakening of medieval European Christianity. The monuments are architectural testimonies to the synergy that occurred between the cultural and artistic components of the Roman heritage, Christian spirituality, Byzantine influences, and Germanic values. The closest sites to the Paradiso di Pianciano are the Basilica S. Salvatore (10 minutes away) and Cascata delle Marmore and Valnerina (30 minutes away).
