A spectacular semi-circular, glass-fronted villa overlooking the Mediterranean and St Jean Cap Ferrat
Passing the attractive bars and restaurants of St Jean and the port filled with sleek yachts and families on the sandy beach, the chauffeur turns up the private road to Villa O. Ahead of you are tiers of terraces, screens of glass, and a tricolour of white walls, cobalt sky and pine green trees. There are over 4,500 sq. m (48,600 sq. ft.) of gardens. Lavender-lined pathways provide panoramic views over the peninsula and a cornucopia of flowers bursts through rockery walls. Olive, cypress and eucalyptus trees give shape and shade; jasmine, rosemary and jacaranda perfume the entire estate.
From a vantage point of a hundred metres, the rooftop terrace has an infinity pool with staggering views of the entire east-west meridian situated on the roof terrace. A Balinese style pool house provides shade in which to read, dine or snooze away a hot summer afternoon. Day or night, the villa has several places to relax. The gallery lounge is both a study and bar area.
The entire villa is Wi-Fi enabled so that e-mails and the Internet are constant and reliable. Villa O has a dedicated surround-sound cinema with a comprehensive library of films and a kitchen for drinks, snacks and popcorn.
The outdoor gymnasium has a multi-exercise lifecycle, free weights, a black granite hammam and shower. Naturally, we can arrange for a private trainer and masseuse. After a workout, walk across to the pool and relax on a sun lounger.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be served in your suite, on the terrace, in the dining room, on the lawn or by the pool (either pool of course). Dining tables seat up to 16 guests and at dinner, a candlelit wall (and even a log fire) flickers as the sun sets. Under a star-strewn sky, lights and music transform this space into a stunning club.
For a holiday, Villa O is one of those iconic homes where everything seems to be special.

Area
Nestling between Nice and Monaco, this forested peninsula has always attracted the rich and famous, drawn by the benign climate, stunning sea views and a pretty Provencal coastline. Despite its long-term allure, Cape Ferrat remains relatively unspoilt.
To explore the area, follow a coastal path, perhaps starting at the little port of St Jean Cap Ferrat and carry on to Beaulieu, past David Niven’s former home. Visit Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, the small baroque palace set high on a hill with superb sea views and filled with precious porcelains and tapestries. A must-see is the villas magnificent fountains that dance to changing music and which form the backdrop to summer operatic concerts.
Explore the atmospheric Italianate town of Villefranche, west of Cap Ferrat or enter the parallel world of Monte Carlo and its achingly exuberant casinos. Villa O is the perfect retreat for the Cannes Film Festival, Monaco Grand Prix and all the other events on the Cote d’Azur.
