A summer estate with 2 villas plus a guest house, large swimming pool, and private beach access
Petalida is a two-villa complex positioned on a tranquil and relatively secluded peninsula in the south of the island. Antiparos lies at the very centre of the Cyclades archipelago which comprises some 30 islands south of Athens, Greece. The peninsula has been designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty and is known for its simplicity, isolated beaches, safety and for being understated. As an international destination, it is extremely popular as a discrete family retreat.
Set within its own grounds and beautifully designed gardens, Petalida is completely private and an ideal place to unwind, relax and enjoy nature with family and friends.
Built in 2007, the villa was designed as a complex of three separate, low-lying houses. The design is such that the entire complex can be easily organised and run either as one establishment able to comfortably accommodate some 20 people or alternatively, as two completely separate and private villas, one with an adjoining guesthouse. The buildings are set in a garden designed and laid out in 2008 by Philippe Niez, an eminent French gardener.
All the accommodation is simply yet elegantly decorated. There is a swimming pool and two small beaches just below the villa that are accessible by a private path. The main village, also called Antiparos, is a 15-minute drive away.

The island of Antiparos, located in the heart of the Cyclades Islands cluster, is a summer resort ideal for peaceful and quiet vacations. The island covers an area of 35 square kilometers and its tallest peak is Prophet Elia, found in the center of the island. Because the earth on the island is volcanic in origin, it is largely barren.
Endued with immense natural beauty, the island of Antiparos abounds with golden sandy beaches (due to its long shape, the island has 57 kilometres of beautiful coastline), crystal-clear waters and verdant landscapes of cedar trees. Above all, there is the breathtaking cave of Antiparos, possibly the oldest cave in Greece, whose arched entrance is guarded by the picturesque eighteenth-century church of Agios loannis Spiliotis (St John of the Cave).
An enormous 45-million-year-old stalagmite (estimated) at the entrance is the oldest in Europe and when descending the 411 steps to the heart of the cave, more than a 100-metres deep, visitors face a truly breathtaking spectacle at each turn with the magnificent formations of stalactites and stalagmites.
Petalida is located on the southern-most peninsula of Antiparos. The peninsula has been designated as “an area of outstanding natural beauty” and is one of the most tranquil spots on the island. It has many small coves, all within easy walking distance and suitable for swimming.
The villa is well positioned on a small hill overlooking the Aegean Sea and therefore enjoys panoramic views. To the north and north-east there are uninterrupted views across the sea channel between Paros and Antiparos; to the east and south there are views of nearby islands: Naxos, Ios, Iraklia, Schinousa and Folegandros. Just behind the villa is a hill which can be easily climbed and affords commanding westerly views towards the uninhabited island of Despotico and beyond to the islands of Serifos and Sifnos.
