A heritage villa set amongst the back drop of wonderful Positano

Villa San Giacomo is a historical 18th century villa offering all the comforts of 5 star services. Set amongst the hills overlooking wonderful Positano, the villa is lavished with magnificent chandeliers, rare antiques and period artworks. Beautiful gardens with bougainvillea, lemon and orange trees plus a large 300 sqm terrace offer stunning views of the Amalfi Coast. Set amongst the gardens is the swimming pool, which also provides wonderful vistas.

Villa San Giacomo sleeps 16 in 8 luxurious double suites and is set over 4 floors. Each room is a veritable treasure, brimming with the traces of this palatial villa’s aristocratic past. A gorgeous outdoor dining area on the terrace provides the perfect venue for al fresco breakfasts, sunset aperitifs and romantic candlelit dinners. Yet more spectacular views can be enjoyed from the terraces of the villa’s fantastic suites.

The principal entrance is from the second floor plus you can also access the house from the Mediterranean garden, from which we make the natural juice and home-made marmalades that we serve for breakfast.

From this part of the house you get to the second floor where there is a lovely large kitchen, where you can have the typical local dishes made in a traditional way from the chef. On the same floor there is a spacious living and dining area.

On the third floor there are four suites each with their own private bathroom boasting beautiful Neapolitan ceramics. There are also two attic suites with two en-suite double bedrooms each, available on request.

If you're looking for luxury on the Amalfi Coast, Villa San Giacomo is the place in which to find it.

Please note: there is no parking at the property and it is reached via a pedestrian path with steps.

Villa San Giacomo

Positano, with its buildings cling in tiers to the rock face, is an iconic Amalfi town. The small houses, all huddling on top of each other, form the subject of endless photos. For a long time, travelers love the white buildings, the bright flowers which decorate the houses and the small artisans' shops with their multihued cloths. In 1953, John Steinbeck wrote: ‘Positano bites deep. It is a dream place that isn’t quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone.' More than 50 years later, his words still ring true.

The best way to get around Positano is by foot. There are dozens of narrow alleys and stairways that make walking relatively easy and joyously traffic-free. Otherwise, an orange bus follows the lower ring road every half-hour, passing along Viale Pasitea, Via Cristoforo Colombo and Via Marconi.

Positano is one of the thirteen towns that comprise the Amalfi Coast. It is ideally situated to explore other nearby towns such as Ravello, Amalfi & Sorrento. The Amalfi Coast has been declared one of Unesco’s World Heritage Sites for its undisputed beauty and the uniqueness of its natural landscape.

Positano – 2 kilometres
Sorrento – 16 kilometres
Amalfi – 16 kilometres
Naples – 58 kilometres
