Boutique suites with a rich history in the heart of Positano
The luxurious Villa Bianca boasts a stunning location, overlooking the sea of Positano. It combines two private residences within the luxurious boutique hotel of Villa Treville, which was the former home of renowned film and opera director Franco Zeffirelli.
During the 35 years that Zeffirelli lived on site, the villa was a haven for intellectuals, painters, actors, dancers, and musicians. It was here that Leonard Bernstein wrote the soundtrack of the film ‘Brother Sun, Sister Moon’ and where Zeffirelli himself wrote some of his major theatrical works.
Villa Bianca is comprised of two suites – Maestro Zeffirelli and Tosca Callas – making it ideal for families or groups of friends travelling together. (NB: The suites are separated by the communal restaurant/bar area). Shared amongst all 13 suites on site is a solarium with a swimming pool, a restaurant and bar, an outdoor gym, vegetable gardens abundant in local produce, and various communal terraces for relaxing and socialising.
Outdoors, the Maestro Zeffirelli and Tosca Callas suites each have their own plunge pool, manicured lawns, stunning gardens, pergolas entwined with wisteria, and spacious terraces for guests to relax on and take in the stunning sea views.
Indoors, the Maestro Zeffirelli suite includes the rooms in which the famous director used to live and work. There is a spacious and bright entrance, a comfortable living room and study, an elegant dining room, and three generous bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms.
Toscas Callas is the smaller of the suites, comprised of two spacious bedrooms with sitting areas and terraces overlooking the sea.
By combining the two suites to create Villa Bianca, it is the ideal property for a luxury holiday with loved ones, where guests can enjoy the property’s stunning views, historic importance, and top facilities.
NB: The Maestro Zeffirelli and Tosca Callas suites can also be rented individually.

Villa Bianca is located in the stunning Amalfi town of Positano, where buildings cling in tiers to the rock face. The small houses all huddling on top of each other form the subject of endless photos.
Getting around Positano is largely a matter of walking; there are dozens of narrow alleys and stairways that make walking relatively easy and joyously traffic-free. Otherwise, an orange bus follows the lower ring road every half-hour passing along Viale Pasitea, Via Cristoforo Colombo and Via Marconi.
Positano is one of the 13 towns that comprise the Amalfi Coast and Villa Bianca is ideally situated to explore other nearby towns such as Ravello, Amalfi and Sorrento.
The Amalfi coast has been declared one of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites for its undisputed beauty and the uniqueness of its natural landscape.
