A unique villa in Sardinia's most stunning working lighthouse
‘Breathtaking’ can be taken literally when considering this villa. Located atop a rocky promontory in beautiful southern Sardinia, Capospartivento provides stunning accommodation. With 360-degree views, a luxurious infinity swimming pool, a regal history, fabulously stylish interiors and located in one of the most naturally fascinating and untouched areas of Sardinia, Capospartivento will capture your imagination.
Built entirely of granite by King Vittorio Emanuele di Savoia in 1856, Capospartivento has been completely refurbished to the highest design and ethical standards: it only uses natural, raw materials and clean energy sources (solar panels and photovoltaic systems) for power and the best in disposal technology.
The interior’s eclectic style provides modern design with vintage furniture collected from all over the world and ambient Murano glass lighting.
Outdoors, set in a huge teak-floored terrace, is the infinity pool with sky-to-sea views where guests can lounge or enjoy a refreshing swim. They can also enjoy the Jacuzzi. At the rear is a signature Mediterranean garden with century-old olive trees, indigenous bushes, and eight gazebos. Guests are simply spoilt for choice when it comes to beautiful sunsets.

Area
This famous property is at the southern-most tip of Sardinia, located right on the point of the cape. This bahia’s silky sand creates thirty-metre-high white dunes and the crystal-clear, turquoise-hued water is reminiscent of an idyllic Caribbean beach. The beaches here were described by Forbes magazine as one of the ‘25 sexiest beaches in the world’.
Cala Cipolla the bay next to Capospartivento, is accessible on foot and with has a picturesque beach and cliffs. It also features seven reefs at a depth of 25 metres (82 feet) creating a veritable paradise for scuba divers and windsurfers. In the proximity of the villa, guests will find its lagoon, San Pietro island and the characterful towns of Carloforte, Baia Zafferanu, Cala Cipolla, and many more. A few kilometres down the road is the expansive sandy cove and aquamarine setting of Tuaredda where there are dolphins, lakes with flamingos, a private dock and facilities for renting a wide variety of boats – from luxury yachts to small fishing boats.
The famous Forte Village is very close (with its spa, golf courses and helicopter tours). The biggest city in the surroundings is Cagliari, less than an hour away; one can hire cars, jeeps, bicycles, mountain bikes and boats or ride horses in the nearby riding schools. Lastly, also nearby is Nora, a large Roman amphitheatre that is right on the beach and is used for music festivals in summer.
