Beautiful 19th century estate, ideal for large groups and special events in the Sicilian countryside
Situated in the Sicilian countryside, Dimora delle Balze is a stunning nineteenth-century estate that has been lovingly restored and transformed into a luxury holiday villa set over 25 hectares.
Sleeping up to 22 guests throughout 11 bedrooms, this traditional stone property is the ideal setting for getaways with large groups of family and friends, corporate retreats, or destination weddings and special events.
The estate offers an abundance of al fresco living and relaxation spaces; guests can relax in the outdoor lounges, enjoy aperitifs in the spacious courtyard or terrace areas, or take a stroll through the extensive landscaped gardens.
There is a large salt-water swimming pool, perfect for enjoying a refreshing dip before soaking up the sunshine from the surrounding sun loungers. Beside the pool is a small fitness area, where wellness programs can be held including spa and regenerative activities.
The pool area also offers a beautiful backdrop for weddings and special events, or guests may wish to celebrate surrounded by the scent of Mediterranean fruits in the orchard, or under the Sicilian sunshine in the courtyard.
Traditional Sicilian fare can be enjoyed in the on-site restaurant, which is set in the pretty lemon orchard. Dishes are made with organic produce from the property’s vegetable garden and local suppliers, and served with wine from the estate’s own vineyard.
Each of the 11 well-appointed guest bedrooms is named after a Sicilian artwork, paying homage to the greats from painting to poetry, and film to opera, which adds a special touch and romantic atmosphere. Seven bedrooms surround the central courtyard, two are within the manor house, and two enjoy more privacy set in the winter garden and atop the tower respectively. All rooms feature double or queen-size beds, through several have an additional bed, sofa bed, or interconnect to the next room, making them ideal for families with children. There is one accessible room with wider passages and a walk-in shower, and all common areas are wheelchair accessible.
For those looking to immerse themselves in history and culture, enjoy a relaxing break with family and friends, or experience an unforgettable special event in the Italian countryside, Dimora delle Balze is the perfect property.
