Villa Le Rose is a stunningly restored 15th century house which has become one of the most luxurious properties for rent in Tuscany. Situated in the hills above Florence, Le Rose is a deluxe six-bedroomed villa that offers a bespoke experience filled with indulgence and romance in a classic Renaissance style.
This unique property was a Medici villa commissioned by the Marchese Niccolò Antinori in the 15th century. Then in the 1980s, Leonardo and Beatrice Ferragamo bought the villa and made it their own home. After being restored, the villa features lavish and modern amenities to maintain the standard of the world’s leading five star hotels, whilst preserving original historic features.
Villa Le Rose is the perfect retreat for enjoying tranquillity in the midst of the Tuscan hills, while still being conveniently close to the centre of Florence which is just five minutes’ drive away. The property lies at the end of an enchanting driveway lined with ancient cypress trees.
Guests can explore the 13 acres of parkland that surround the estate and include a private lake. The beautifully-landscaped gardens features authentic Tuscan elements including olive trees, lavender bushes, citrus and cypress trees, and herbs in traditional terracotta pots. The evocative name the villa is manifested in the delicate rose bushes of various stunning colours throughout the gardens.
The extensive garden not only offers breath-taking landscape views, but also features a large, oval-shaped swimming pool and an adjacent covered al fresco dining area. The fabulous garden provides an idyllic setting for any moment of the day, from a lovely breakfast or afternoon tea in the sunshine to a magical candlelight dinner under the stars.
The villa has an area of about 400 sq. m. and it is built over three floors, maintaining the typical layout of aristocrat villas. It is built around a central paved courtyard and the entrance is situated under a charming arched loggia.
The ground floor boasts a large living room with frescoed walls, an impressive18th century ballroom with a grand piano and splendid chandeliers. The elegant dining room can seat up to 20 guests for more formal meals. There is also a mirrored bar and a study/library equipped with a satellite TV, a DVD player and a lovely collection of model sailboats.
The lower floor includes the spacious open-plan kitchen that features a traditional Tuscan fireplace and a wood-fire bread and pizza oven. The kitchen is fully-equipped with all the modern amenities such as a dishwasher and offers plenty of space for food storage.
The sleeping area of the villa comprises six suites spread over two floors. All suites are flooded with warm light and the authentic charm of a historical Florentine home. The finest materials and hand-picked furnishings were thoughtfully selected to create an inviting space that exudes elegance and luxurious comfort. Each room has an en-suite or private bathroom, a sitting area, air conditioning and a telephone. There is also a seventh bedroom suitable for staff, though this can be used for guests of larger groups, on request.

Villa Le Rose stands on a stunning hill just outside Florence in an area known as Firenze Certosa, named after the nearby monastery La Certosa. The area can be defined as the gateway to the Chianti region, renowned for its vineyards and breath-taking landscapes.
