An ornate and opulent Renaissance manor set amidst expansive grounds
Villa Le Rose is a beautifully-restored 15th century house which has become one of the most luxurious properties for rent in Tuscany. Situated in the hills above Florence, this seven-bedroom villa was a Medici property commissioned by the Marchese Niccolò Antinori. It is the perfect retreat for enjoying tranquillity in the midst of the Tuscan hills, whilst still being conveniently close to the centre of Florence, just a short drive away.
Guests can explore the 13 acres of parkland that surrounds the estate and includes a private lake. Along with breath-taking views, the grounds boast a large, oval-shaped swimming pool and an adjacent covered al fresco dining area. The beautifully-landscaped gardens are filled with olive trees, lavender bushes, citrus and cypress trees, along with herbs in traditional terracotta pots. Moreover, the evocative name the villa is manifested in the delicate rose bushes of various colours throughout the gardens.
After tasteful restoration, the villa features lavish and modern amenities to maintain the standard of the world’s leading five-star hotels, whilst preserving original historic features. It has an area of about 400 square metres and is built around a central paved courtyard with the entrance situated beneath a charming arched loggia.
The ground floor features a large living room with frescoed walls, an impressive 18th century ballroom with a grand piano and splendid chandeliers, and an elegant dining room seating up to 20 guests. There is also a mirrored bar and a study/library equipped with a satellite TV, a DVD player and a lovely collection of model sailboats.
The lower floor includes the spacious fully-equipped kitchen that features a traditional Tuscan fireplace and a wood-fire bread and pizza oven.
Seven double bedrooms are set over two floors, each offering an inviting space that exudes elegance and luxurious comfort, and all featuring en-suite or private bathrooms.
With its splendid landscape, the authentic aristocratic architecture, and stunning interior design combined with luxurious modern amenities, Villa Le Rose guarantees a unique holiday where guests will be looked after by an experienced team of staff.
