A 16th century villa immersed in the Tuscan countryside

This stylish property has previously been used as a hunting lodge and later on as a family summer house. Being set in the Tuscan countryside, only 10 minutes’ drive from the town of Lucca, villa Donati has the ideal location to explore the area. Being surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and cypress trees, the property offers plenty of things to do, not mentioning the private swimming pool and the tennis court. The large beautiful garden provides the perfect environment for relaxation and quietness.

The villa has been totally renovated in 2001 by the owners, who wanted to preserve some of the old features and the authentic atmosphere while adding modern amenities to ensure the highest services are provided.

The villa is a typical example of the houses built at this time, with imposing facades and a main external staircase leading directly into a huge sitting room. At the back of the villa, there is a beautiful 16th Century loggia leading directly to the main living room. With three arches, it is the ideal place for eating outside. There are magnificent views across the beautifully tended garden and surrounding parkland.

The house has various common areas, where the entire group can gather and share precious moments. There are multiple living and dining areas, both indoor and outdoor.

There are two covered areas by the swimming pool. The outdoor cooking and dining area includes a pizza oven, a gas BBQ and a separate wood burning fire.

On the ground floor, guests will find a large family living room with a fireplace for cold winter days, an open plan kitchen with a wood burning fireplace, a TV room and a study area with Wi-Fi. A twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom is also located here.

On the first floor, there are six bedrooms, 4 double and 2 twins, and a large open living room. The property also features a gym, a laundry and play room for children and parking.
