A beautifully restored 16th century noble home, now a fully staffed luxurious villa with outdoor pool
Located in the romantic heart of Tuscany, just twenty minutes from Siena and a stone’s throw from Montalcino, lies the luxurious Villa Armena. This classic villa was constructed during the first half of the sixteenth century as a country residence for a noble family from Siena. Built from red brick, with original oak beams and roofing, terracotta floors and a beautiful Italianate garden, Villa Armena is one of the only exclusive villas available to date to have had such a rich history.
Each room enjoys stunning views over the property’s grounds or the wonderful Tuscan countryside and they all come with precious furnishings, prints, paintings and fabrics. The villa has just completed a massive restoration and modernisation to ensure that even the most discerning travellers are satisfied. The Villa is warm and enveloping and is a perfect retreat for large families with children or for special events.
Meals are served in the Sorbo Allegro restaurant which has an extensive wine selection available.

Area
Villa Armena is located in the heart of the Siena region in Tuscany. An astoundingly attractive area, famous for its rolling hills outlined by endless rows of cypress trees, majestic castles, thermal spa towns, tiny Medieval villages surrounded by olive groves, wine cellars keeping the invaluable oak and chestnut casks in which to age world class wine such as Chianti and Brunello.
Nearby is the village of Montalcino, home to the famous Brunello di Montalcino vineyard. It stands on a hilltop covered almost entirely by vineyards, and at its centre stand signature examples of Medieval architecture: the Palazzo dei Priori and the wonderful Rocca fortress, built circa XIV century. Montepulciano, is another charming village in the same area, known as the pearl of the 16th century & renowned for the production of wines such as Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.
Siena itself is one of the most beautiful cities of Tuscany. Set across three hills, the city is drawn together by winding alleyways and steep steps, whilst the Piazza del Campo stands at its heart, and the Duomo and St Maria della Scala serve as additional cultural landmarks. Famed for the "Palio", the annual historic horse race that takes place on 2 July and 16 August, it is also home to one of the oldest Universities in Europe, which ensures a vibrant Italian student atmosphere throughout the academic year. In addition to the bustling daily life on the streets and squares of the city, Siena offers many cultural events, concerts, cinema, theatre and a wide range of sporting activities for guests to experience.
