An aristocratic castle in the beautiful Montalcino area
The Castelnuovo Tancredi estate represents luxury living in the authentic area of Tuscany, spreading over 600 hectares of rolling hills in the Montalcino area of the famous Siena region. This exclusive aristocratic castle underwent extensive renovation over a period of two years; however, it still preserves the charm and tradition of a historical property that dates from 1315.
The property is surrounded by 8 hectares of vineyards and extensive cereal areas for oil production. Castelnuovo is a model of agrotourism as it maintains the unspoilt atmosphere created by the stone farmhouses and fully conserves nature by using organic agricultural methods.
The surrounding area is filled with oaks, farmland, olives and vineyards; therefore, guests are immersed in the traditional Tuscan landscape. This exclusive accommodation comprises a main villa and a tower. The castle grounds include extensive manicured lawns and a beautiful Italian-style rose garden.
Quintessentially Tuscan, the road leading to the entrance of the estate is flanked on each side by iconic cypress trees.
Guests are able to admire the breath-taking views of the charming countryside from their own private swimming pool. There is a pool gazebo and recliners to bask in the sun. There are various seating areas and also an al fresco dining table to gather with family and friends for a delicious meal.
Entering the castle, guests will be welcomed by an entrance hall with a stone fireplace, beamed ceilings and a reception throne that dates back to the 1500s. The ground floor features a dining room with an antique fireplace and a large table that can accommodate up to 16 guests. There is also a fully equipped kitchen and a small sitting room.
Castelnuovo’s sleeping quarters comprise eight bedrooms spread across the main villa and tower. There are three master bedroom suites, four double bedrooms and one twin room. On request only, two additional single bedrooms can be opened.
For the guests’ entertainment, they can choose to be active on the tennis court or learn about Tuscan cuisine. To take care of the guests’ needs there are staff available round the clock.
