Villa Quercia enjoys an ideal position to explore the beauty of this picturesque land that runs between the Mediterranean beaches and the rolling hills of Tuscany.
The property is close to the Calamoresca Park located on the panoramic road and 7 km. from the town of Porto Santo Stefano.
Porto Santo Stefano and Porto Ercole are the two villages of the municipality of Monte Argentario. 12 km away from each other, they are different in history, traditions and folklore.Porto Santo Stefano, overflowing with vitality from every street corner, was founded after Porto Ercole by fishermen emigrants. On the promenade, there is an excellent fish market and a beautiful selection of cafés and restaurants. The Marina, at the end of the seafront houses, hides beautiful sail boats and luxury yachts. Porto Ercole is a small town but with much history behind it. The old town is surrounded by city walls of Siena of the fifteenth century and boasts the picturesque square of Santa Barbara. This is dominated by the Clock Tower, where there is a plaque in commemoration of the great painter Michelangelo Merisi, called Caravaggio, who died in Porto Ercole in 1610.
In addition of its beautiful turquoise sea, Monte Argentario is dotted with pretty beaches and coves that make it an excellent choice for a holiday of fun and relaxation. Holiday-makers enjoy sunbathing on the wide beaches of fine sand, the small coves with sand and pebble, close to the natural creeks or on the flat rocks.
