A traditional yet charming stone villa set in the stunning Umbrian countryside
Located on a remote hilltop in Umbria, on the border with Tuscany, the elevated location of this converted ancient farmhouse offers panoramic views over the rolling Tuscan countryside.
Guests can relax in this traditional holiday home while enjoying the finest of modern amenities such as the large swimming pool with pergola and sun loungers as well as a shared tennis court.
The garden also sports a large table, ideal for aperitifs as the sun is setting or barbecues with friends and family.
Guests will fall in love with the cosy and warm interior that has been superbly decorated, merging old and new styles. The owners have carefully chosen high-end furniture and antique pieces such as the imposing doors and the eighteenth-century oak-beamed ceilings and terracotta floors. Like the house, the fireplaces are made of stone and the living areas have large windows for guests to make the most of the landscapes while indoors.
The fully equipped kitchen is perfectly located, opening onto the pergola – perfect for hosting dinner parties.
The house has four bedrooms. One twin bedroom (which can be converted into a double bedroom) with an independent bathroom is on the ground floor and the three double bedrooms are on the first floor. Guests can choose to go upstairs via either an internal or an external staircase.
A guesthouse, which sleeps six people, is just 40 metres away from the main house and is also available for large gatherings of friends or family members. This smaller house also has a pergola with a table seating six. During the low season, it is possible to rent either the main villa or the annex, the other remaining closed for greater privacy and peace.
Each house has its own driveway and parking area.
If guests prefer to eat out but don’t want to venture too far, we recommend Restaurant Calagrana, which is renowned for its traditional food and fair prices.
