A charming residence located in a recently restored 16th Century villa that goes beyond the imagination

Villa F is a charming residence with noble origin, situated on the Giudecca Island in Venice, right in front of St Mark’s Square. After many years of laborious renovations, in February 2011, the elegant property welcomed its first guests. Thanks to Francesca Bortolotto Possati, who was passionate about promoting and preserving the cultural richness of her native locality, Villa F has retained its traditional charm and vibrancy, offering an idyllic retreat in the heart of buzzing Venice. Right in front of St Mark’s Square, the property offers both privacy and luxury, away from the busy crowds, yet it is close to the major Venetian landmarks.

Back in its heyday, Villa F served as an important noble residence, but today it is an exclusive luxury property for the most discerning guests. For many centuries, the property was intimately connected to the Italian nobility and at the turn of the twentieth century, it served as an upscale retreat for eclectic Italian artists.

Villa F is divided into nine individual apartments, all uniquely decorated, yet all featuring the highest standards of luxury and quality. On the same grounds is the Barchessa Mews, where the luxury apartment Aqua Marina is located. This luxury rental features two double bedrooms with en-suite facilities, a fully equipped kitchen, a cosy lounge with fireplace and access to the veranda.

Guests of Aqua Marina benefit from free access to the Palladio Hotel and Spa, which is next door, and share the swimming pool, gardens and reception areas with the other guests of Villa F.

Area

Venice is a lively city, with local and international artistic and cultural events. Some events, like the 'Biennale' International Exhibition of Modern Arts or the Campiello Literary Prize and Palazzo Grassi, play host every year to some of the most beautiful exhibitions. Museo Correr hosts fine art and paintings in the city’s heart, St. Mark's Square.

Every year in July, a religious feast takes place, il Redentore (The Redeemer), in the lagoon with boats, lanterns, fireworks, and attractions setting Venice in a glamorous frame. There is also the Carnival, brought back to its splendour, with masks and people dressed as if it was the 700s in Venice, with dances and music. The Historical Regatta, a colourful parade of boats, takes place on the first Sunday in September.

Venice is an open-air exhibition of art and culture. It is known worldwide as the city of romance, art, and literature, and houses some of the greatest artistic treasures in the world. Signature examples include the Doge's Palace, Rialto Bridge (one of Europe’s last full stone bridges), St. Mark's Basilica and the Square itself. Visit world-famous museums and art exhibitions such as Mureo Correr, Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Palazzo Grassi and more; explore the varied art collection of Galleria dell'Accademia, or see Museo Cà Rezzonico’s display of draperies, dresses and original furniture from the 700s.
