One of the highest towns in Europe, with over 300 km of snow-sure pistes
As one of the highest towns in Europe, Davos is one of the most snow-sure resorts in the Alps.
The Davos-Klosters ski area is made up of six smaller resorts stretching over more than 300 km of guaranteed snow pistes and more challenging off-piste terrain. Each of the six areas has its own style and appeal:
Schatzalp is the perfect beginners’ area with gentle slopes and traditional drag lifts; Madrisa and Rinehorn are both great for families with quieter slopes, magic carpets and obstacle courses for the littlest skiers, and the Rinehorn toboggan run; Parsenn is known as the “classic” mountain with wide slopes, and traditional chalets; Jakobshorn invites the daredevil skiers and boarders with its freestyle park and super-pipe; and Pischa is heaven for free-riders, snow hikers, and cross country skiers with its open terrain and just a single cable car up the mountain.
In the resort centre, there is plenty to keep visitors entertained off the slopes. From bowling alleys to casinos, boutique stores to big brand name shops, museums and galleries to sports arenas, there is something for every age and interest. There is also a variety of restaurants where visitors can enjoy local cuisine or international feasts and a diverse nightlife scene with host of bars and clubs, from elegant lounges to lively rock venues.
Davos is also famous for hosting the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting each year, which brings business, government and civil society elite from around the world.
