A slice of paradise in the Caribbean Sea
The Pearl Cays are a cluster of small islands located just off the coast of Nicaragua, in the Caribbean Sea. The region boasts crystal clear waters and secluded islands with white-sand beaches and tropical vegetation.
The waters are home to an array of wildlife including dolphins, rays, manatees, otters, and sea turtles, and a myriad of colourful birdlife can be found on the islands. The area is a wildlife refuge largely due to its population of critically-endangered hawksbill sea turtles.
There are 18 islands that make up the Pearl Cays including Pink Pearl Island, Water Cay and Calala Island.
