Chateau Saint-Maur
8 Bedrooms — 15 Guests
A beautiful 18th-century chateau nestled amongst sprawling vineyards, with easy access to the beaches of Saint Tropez
Surrounded by the lush greenery of Provence and overlooking the medieval village of Grimaud, the luxury 18th-century Chateau Saint-Maur provides an idyllic countryside escape. With the world-famous beaches, restaurants and nightlife of Saint Tropez a short drive away, it offers the best of both worlds.
Set across 15 hectares, the luxury estate features sprawling vineyards and fruit orchards. Rows of cypress trees line pathways, fragrant lavender beds bloom in the tiered English garden, and verdant lawns offer plenty of space for younger guests to run around. The vibrant winter garden ensures the chateau is a beautiful place to visit year-round.
Within the grounds are a tennis court, horse stables, and a heated swimming pool for guests. The 26-metre pool stretches from the outdoors into the shade of a beautiful pool house built in the property’s ancient sheepfold. The pool house features a casual indoor dining area along with changing rooms.
Throughout the grounds are plenty more spaces for outdoor relaxation and convivial meals, including the shaded pool lounge and bar, an outdoor dining terrace, a covered loggia with garden views, and a furnished first-floor terrace.
The property is ideal for events, with a pretty chapel and multiple outbuildings available. As well as the pool house, there is an orangery by the vineyard, suitable as a meeting room or reception hall. Moreover, there is a private nightclub with a bar, a DJ booth, a spacious dance floor, a VIP lounge, and a well-equipped games room.
At the heart of the estate is the 3500-square-metre chateau set across three floors. The building has been expertly renovated, perfectly blending classical and contemporary features, with stunning artworks displayed throughout.
There are three separate living rooms for relaxing in, two elegant dining rooms, a cosy, art-deco style bar, an opulent games room with a card table and roulette wheel, and a ventilated smoking room. Moreover, a wine cellar offers space for tastings and two fully-equipped kitchens for preparing decadent feasts. There is also a small meeting room and a study, perfect for business trips.
The chateau also boasts a private spa. After working out on the fitness equipment, guests can relax in the hammam, enjoy a treatment in the massage room, or get pampered in the beauty salon.
Eight stunning bedrooms sit across the chateau’s three floors. Each features a double bed and en-suite facilities, whilst the master bedroom also has a spacious sitting area with a fireplace.
The impressive Chateau Saint-Maur is hard to beat for those seeking a luxury holiday in the Cote d’Azur.
