On the shores of Lake Garda, Villa Caratti provides an elegant home-from-home for up to 16 guests. Built in the 1800s by an aristocratic family, the villa has been lovingly restored and boasts all the modern comforts expected in a luxury holiday rental.
The spacious grounds include a large outdoor swimming pool, which can be heated on request. The pool is flanked by sun loungers, ideal for soaking up the rays. The perfectly manicured lawns lead right down to a private beach with a jetty, ideal for launching a boat to explore the region on water.
There is also plenty of space to relax and socialise outdoors, including spacious, furnished terraces and a barbecue area with an outdoor dining table seating up to 16 guests. The large first floor terrace overlooks the Bay of Sirens and is perfect for hosting events.
The villa also boasts a second, indoor pool with heating, hydro-massage, integrated music systems and lake views. After a dip in the pool guests can make use of the relaxation area, which features a Turkish bath and a sauna, as well as a fully-equipped gym for those keeping up their fitness routine during their stay.
In the main villa, historic and classical elements are perfectly fused with contemporary touches and modern amenities. The use of pastel shades throughout offers a sense of peace and calm, and emphasises the brilliant hues of the lake.
A spacious lounge with plenty of comfortable seating along with a grand piano provides the perfect place to relax of an evening. During the day, the sun room across the front of the house offers spectacular views to be enjoyed over a morning coffee.
Guests of all ages will enjoy the entertainment facilities which include a games room with billiards table, a bar with fireplace, and a cinema room with an excellent film library. There’s also a spacious study for those catching up on work emails, or looking for a quiet place to enjoy a holiday read.
Meals can be paired with fine wines from the villa’s cellar and enjoyed in the elegant dining room, which boasts a fireplace and beautiful views. The main kitchen features a breakfast bar, and there is a second kitchen with a large dining table and fireplace for atmospheric dinner parties.
The well-appointed bedrooms are spread throughout the first and second floors. On the first floor are three doubles and one twin room, all with lake views. The second floor is home to three more doubles, plus two single rooms, ideal for families with children or teens.

About the area
Villa Caratti is located on the shores of Lake Garda, Italy’s largest lake. It lies at the far north end of the of Bay of Sirens, in one of the lake’s most sought-after areas. Right by the villa is a lakeside park with a private beach, a children’s playground and picnic areas amongst leafy forest surrounds.
In the surrounding landscapes, visitors can enjoy hiking, mountain biking, and horse riding to name but a few activities. On the lake itself, boating, kite and wind surfing, and sailing are all popular pastimes.
The villa is a short drive from the town of Bardolino, known for its excellent wines. Several other noteworthy towns and cities are less than an hour away, including Sirmione – a beautiful spa town, Gardone Riviera (or “The Garden City”) – known for its historic home and museum Vittoriale degli Italiani, and Verona – famous for its medieval old town, its amphitheatre, and – of course – for being the setting of Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet”.
