One of the most impressive and magnificent properties on Lake Como, Villa Sola Cabiati was once the beloved summer residence of the Serbelloni Dukes. This property is still owned by the original family and now also houses a museum on its top floors.
This stunning lakeside villa dates back to the 1500s, when its central body was commissioned. Two lateral wings were added in 1700s, as were the baroque rounded tympana and the balconies to the façade.
On entering the grounds through gilded lakeside gates, guests are welcomed by stunning Italian gardens. In the park behind, a heated swimming pool is surrounded by sun loungers, day beds, and an outdoor dining pergola. For convenience, the poolside cottage houses a changing room, a bathroom with shower, and a kitchenette.
This grand villa has been impeccably refurbished yet retains much of its original furniture, spectacular frescoed ceilings, damask-covered walls, and impressively-sized living rooms, offering a timeless elegance.
Guests will breathe in history whilst relaxing in the atmospheric living rooms and enjoy sumptuous meals in the grand formal dining room. Less formal meals and breakfast can be taken around the kitchen table.

Villa Sola Cabiati is located on the shores of Lake Como, a few minutes’ drive from the village of Lenno and around 10 minutes’ drive from the pretty town of Menaggio.
Just two minutes from the villa is Grand Hotel Tremezzo where guests can enjoy complimentary use of the spa, tennis court, gym and private beach with heated swimming pools.
Lake Como has been a popular retreat for aristocrats and wealthy people since Roman times, and a very popular tourist attraction with many artistic and cultural gems. To tour the region, a ferry service connects all the main lakeside towns including Lenno, Menaggio, Bellagio in Como to name a few. Alternatively, boats and motorboats with a private crew may be hired.
