Beautiful property offering an infinity pool mesmerising views of the Caribbean Sea
Immersed in lush tropical forests and gardens, this Netherclay House is one of the most desired properties on the exclusive Mustique Island. Set on a hillside, the luxury villa blends colonial elegance with the Caribbean style.
The property was designed by Arne Hasselquist who designed a number of villas on the island and has been featured in Architectural Digest for her work.
The outside area is very impressive with lovely large terraces affording guests 270-degree views of the tropical surroundings. After a swim in the vast infinity pool, guests can soak up the rays from the sun loungers, or relax in the outdoor lounge. The adjacent dining terrace is situated overlooking the southern coast of Mustique, creating an idyllic setting for al fresco meals to the backdrop of the calming sounds of nature.
Designed after the colonial style plantations in South Carolina as opposed to the Caribbean gingerbread-style houses, this impressive villa has many classic qualities. The art historian owner had strong ideas about the refurbishment with the principal themes being symmetry, scale, and proportion. The interiors are decorated in a Scandinavian style and boast elegant furnishings, classic fabrics, and wooden floors.
Indoors, guests can relax in the spacious lounge, catch up on a holiday read in the library, or cosy up with a film in the TV room. There are also two indoor dining rooms and a lovely inner courtyard.
The main villa houses four bedrooms, including the spacious master suite, all of which boast en-suite facilities and terrace access. Ideal for those looking for a little more privacy, or families travelling with children is the separate guest house. The guest house comprises a king-size bedroom and twin bedroom, both with en-suite bathrooms, along with a kitchenette and private terrace.
With its stunning views, spacious grounds and beautiful interiors, Netherclay House is the ideal choice for a luxury Caribbean holiday with friends and family.

Location
Netherclay House is located on Mustique Island, the third largest island in the Grenadines.
Fifty years ago, Mustique was bought by Lord Glennconner and after he offered a plot to Princess Margaret, the island started to receive interest from the media and became a well-known holiday destination.
There are two bodies of water surrounding Mustique: the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean and there are many beaches for visitors to explore. The main beaches are Macaroni Bay with great waves and a grass area in which to picnic, and Lagoon Beach on the quieter Caribbean Sea, which is perfect for families with small children, and offers a picnic area by the lagoon.
There are a host of activities to enjoy on the island, from the legendary house parties where guests from different villas get to know each other, to scuba diving or sailing, to horse riding and tennis. Guests can also enjoy relaxing spa treatments by their swimming pool.
Many visitors are so charmed by island life, the unequivocal hospitality and friendliness of the staff, and the sense of wellbeing this holiday island gives them, that they fall under its spell, returning year after year.
