Villa San Giacomo is located in Positano, which is the iconic representation of an Amalfi town, with buildings clinging in tiers to the rock face. The white of the buildings are a perfect canvas for the bright flowers which decorate the houses and the small artisans' shops with their multi-hued cloths.
Getting around Positano is largely a matter of walking; there are dozens of narrow alleys and stairways that make walking relatively easy and joyously traffic-free. Otherwise an orange bus follows the lower ring road every half-hour passing along Viale Pasitea, Via Cristoforo Colombo and Via Marconi.
Positano is one of the 13 towns along the Amalfi Coast and Villa Oliviero is ideally situated to explore other nearby towns such as Ravello, Amalfi and Sorrento.
The Amalfi Coast has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its undisputed beauty and the uniqueness of its natural landscape.
