Built in the 19th Century, Villa Camilla is a charming property that occupies a favourable location on the western shores of Lake Como. It is still exclusively managed by the same noble family, the Marchesi di Rozzano. This luxury villa epitomises Italian architectural elegance and provides an idyllic location for seekers of romance, peace and tranquillity. With carefully tended gardens and beautiful interiors, Villa Camilla is well-suited to memorable events such as weddings.
The luxury property has been restored and refurbished in accordance with sustainable architectural practices, and the interiors echo fine Feng Shui principles. Elegant, well-tended English gardens surround the villa, a unique feature when it was designed in the mid-19th century. The garden features many ancient trees, such as cork oaks, redwood pines, cedars, Japanese bamboo, and Chilean monkey-puzzle trees, to delight guests as they wander around.
In addition to the beautiful gardens, the villa features a modern heated swimming pool surrounded by ample space, perfect for sunbathing. Guests can spend many relaxing moments lounging and dining by the pool. For more active recreation, the villa features a private tennis court, table football, a pool table, and a children’s playground.
The property’s interiors deliver outstanding beauty and character, with mosaic floors and turned staircases, as well as numerous 18th-century frescoes, fine paintings, and statues. Spread over a ground floor and three additional levels, this luxury villa can accommodate up to 20 guests in its 10 bedrooms.
On the ground floor, there is an ample foyer with a polychrome marble fireplace. A conservatory-style room with beautiful lake views connects the foyer with the fine dining room and salon. In addition, the ground level features a games room, a bedroom with an accessible en-suite bathroom, a professional kitchen, and laundry facilities.
Moving one floor up, guests will find two double bedrooms enjoying a spacious terrace with lake views and jacuzzi bathtubs in their en-suite bathrooms, and a third double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and garden views. The second floor has a combination of bedrooms and living areas. There are two double bedrooms, each with its private bathroom, as well as a games room with lake views, featuring a pool table, fitness equipment, and a play area for the little ones. Finally, the top floor features three double rooms, each with its own bathroom. The 10th bedroom of the property is situated approximately 20 metres away from the main villa, in a pretty annex, equipped with a double bed and a bathroom.
This private villa also boasts an ancient wine cellar, featuring vaulted ceilings and an extensive selection of Italian and international wines.
