Villa Camilla is a charming property built in the nineteenth century and occupies a favourable location on the western shores of Lake Como. It is still exclusively managed by the same noble family, the Marchesi di Rozzano. This luxury villa epitomises Italian architectural elegance and provides an idyllic location for seekers of romance, peace and tranquillity. With carefully tended gardens and beautiful interiors, Villa Camilla renderers itself suitable for memorable events such as weddings.
The luxury property has been restored and refurbished according to sustainable architectural practice and the interiors echo the fine Feng-Shui principles. The elegant villa is surrounded by equally elegant and tended English gardens. The English garden is a unique characteristic of Villa Camilla, considering that at the time it was designed, the majority of the properties around Lake Como had formal Italian gardens. These were often later transformed into English gardens. The surrounding English garden, which was designed in the mid-nineteenth century, features many ancient trees such as cork oaks, redwood pines, cedars, Japanese bamboo, acers and Chilean monkey-puzzle trees. Guests will take great delight in wandering around the garden.
In addition to the beautiful gardens, the villa also features a modern heated swimming pool surrounded by ample space, perfect for sun bathing. Guests can spend many relaxing moments by the pool, lounging or dining thanks to all the necessary facilities provided. However, relaxation can also be achieved in an active way, and conveniently, Villa Camilla has a tennis court, football table and pool table. Children will find joy playing in the playground, and running on the ample lawns.
The property’s interiors have outstanding beauty and character and feature mosaic floors and turned staircases, as well as many eighteenth-century frescoes, fine paintings and statues.
Spread over a ground floor and three additional levels, this luxury villa can accommodate up to 20 guests in its 10 bedrooms. On the ground floor, there is an ample foyer with polychrome marble fireplace. A conservatory-style room with beautiful lake views connects the foyer with the fine dining room and salon. In addition, the ground level also features a games room, a bedroom with bathroom and disabled access, a professional kitchen, and laundry facilities.
Moving one floor up, guests will find two double bedrooms enjoying a spacious terrace with lake views and jacuzzi bathtubs in their en-suite bathroom, and a third double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and garden views. The second floor has a combination of bedrooms and living areas – there are two double bedrooms, each with their private bathroom, as well as billiards room with lake views which features a pool table, fitness equipment, and a play area for the little ones. Finally, the top floor features three double rooms all with their individual bathroom.
The 10th bedroom of the property is situated approximately 20 metres away from the main villa, in a pretty annex, equipped with double bed and a bathroom.
This private villa has an ancient wine cellar, featuring vaulted ceilings and an extensive selection of Italian and international wines.
