One of the most well-known and stunning mansions on Lake Como
One of the most impressive and magnificent properties on Lake Como, Villa Sola Cabiati was once the beloved summer residence of the Serbelloni Dukes. The property dates back to the 1500s, when the villa’s central body was commissioned. Two lateral wings were added in 1700s, as were the baroque rounded tympana and balconies to the façade. The stunning lakeside villa remains owned by the original family and now also houses a museum on its top floors.
On entering the grounds through gilded lakeside gates, guests are welcomed into stunning formal gardens. Tucked away in a secluded corner is a heated swimming pool surrounded by sun loungers, day beds, and an outdoor dining pergola. For convenience, the poolside cottage houses a dressing room, bathroom with shower, and a kitchenette.
The grand villa’s interiors have been refreshed yet retain their original furniture, spectacular frescoed ceilings, damask-covered walls, and impressively-sized living rooms, offering a timeless elegance.
Guests will breathe in history whilst relaxing in the atmospheric living rooms and enjoy sumptuous meals in the grand formal dining room. Less formal meals and breakfast can be taken around the kitchen table.
The villa offers six beautifully-furnished bedrooms and can accommodate up to 12 guests in great comfort and supreme style. All rooms feature en-suite bathrooms and are equipped with modern technology and comforts, yet they retain their original patrician style.
Behind the villa a deconsecrated chapel provides an atmospheric spot for special events and weddings. Across the lake from the villa is the beautiful town of Bellagio, which is just a 5-minute boat ride from the property’s private dock.
With its impeccable grounds, grand interiors and modern facilities, Villa Sola Cabiati is the ideal location for a memorable and luxurious holiday or special celebration with loved ones.
