A traditional 4-bedroom farmhouse surrounded by the Tuscan countryside
Villa Lestra is a beautifully-restored 19th century property which preserves its typical features and traditional charm.
Immersed in a lush garden spreading over 5000 metres with Mediterranean shrub hedges, the villa has great outdoor areas where guests can take in the views of the Tuscan hills and the countryside or just relax by the pool with Roman spa steps and a hydro-massage zone for a relaxing lower back and neck massage. The pool also had a shallow end of only 40 cm in depth which is ideal for the little ones.
There are many sun loungers surrounding the pool and a sheltered gazebo with sofas, armchairs and a small table. The small rustic style hut is equipped for preparing meals which can then be served outdoors. There is a sheltered carpark for up to two cars.
The interior spreading over two floors is beautifully-appointed, spacious and welcoming. Modern amenities have been carefully added to ensure the utmost comfort of the guests, while keeping the original features intact such as the terracotta flooring, chestnut wooden beams and stone walls.
On the ground floor, there is an open-plan living and dining area with a spacious lounge with sofas and a rustic fireplace, a dining table and a fully-equipped kitchen; both open onto the covered porch with comfortable sofas and a dining table for al fresco meals. Also located on this floor is an en-suite double/twin bedroom and an accessible bathroom.
Going up the stone and wrought iron staircase, guests reach the sleeping area where there are two doubles (or twin beds, which can be transformed into triples) and one double bedroom (a single bed can be added in this room) each with an en-suite bathroom, an open fireplace, satellite TV and a built-in wardrobe.
The spiral staircase located on this floor leads to the tower transformed in a comfortable lounge offering unsurpassed views of the Tuscan hills.
There is a plethora of things to explore in the area surrounding Villa Lestra, from having a cheese and olive oil tour or visiting an artisanal pasta maker, to going truffle hunting, visiting wineries or having fun whilst learning to make pizza.
