A high-end luxury chalet in Zermatt with rooftop Jacuzzi and views of the Matterhorn
The luxurious and super-stylish Backstage Luxury Chalet in Zermatt, Switzerland, offers guests a once-in-a-lifetime alpine experience.
Designed by master architect and artist Heinz Julen, this unique chalet features only the most precious natural materials and modern facilities, taking mountain living to the next level.
From a 1940s traditional Swiss home, Julen has upgraded this residence by incorporating an ample glass and wood extension, which offers impressive 360-degree mountain views and unparalleled privacy.
The standout feature of this property is its hydraulic Jacuzzi, which rises to the rooftop with a click of a button, affording guests the luxury of enjoying a rejuvenating soak under Zermatt’s moonlit sky.
The generous open-plan living, dining, and kitchen space is the perfect comfortable spot for the entire group to come together and enjoy each other’s companionship with the striking views of the Matterhorn in the background.
The five bedrooms are all utterly cosy, exuding old-school glamour with their wooden beds, over-sized headboards, and stylish en-suite bathrooms. One of the five bedrooms features a children’s mezzanine level fitted with a single bed, making this room perfect for a family.
The Backstage Luxury Chalet ticks all the boxes for an unforgettable ski holiday. The resort offers 360km of pistes with terrain for all levels, as well as excellent off-piste skiing. For non-skiers, winter hiking or snow shoeing are great ways to see the mountains.
Along with its car-free status, Zermatt’s lift system is powered with solar and hydroelectric energy, making it one of the most eco-friendly ski resorts in Europe. Electric taxis are available 24-hours a day to transport guests around the resort.
