The UK’s vibrant and multicultural capital city
With a long and enthralling history dating back from the Roman time, this huge, diverse and incredible global city is, with no surprise, the place that attracts the most visitors in the world.
It is hard not to fall in love with the vibrant atmosphere of the UK capital. Visitors are amazed by the quantity and the quality of things to do and see. Even for Londoners themselves, it is an endless list! Central London, with the all the most important monuments, museums and shopping streets is the first place to go but is much more to explore for return visitors! People from all around the world are impressed by the character and the uniqueness of each neighbourhood. They can visit one of the best art museum in the world, the Victoria and Albert Museum, walk around this area, the very elegant district of South Kensington, and then decide to go to the punky area of Camdem Town for a bit of craziness, all that in the same day.
Visitors enjoy the lovely parks scattered all around such as Hyde Park, Regent Park, Kew Royal Botanic Gardens and much more.
There is also an impressive list of street markets. The first which comes to mind is Porto Bello Market, made popular thanks to Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant’s love story in the movie Notting Hill, but visitors should also have a look at Borough Market, one of the oldest food markets in London, Columbia Road Flower Market or Greenwich Market for amazing street food.
What makes London very special is also its people. Different communities from every corner of the world live here altogether, bringing their own culture to the British society. From China Town in Soho to the Indian curry street of Brick Lane in the North-East or the Caribbean vibes of Brixton in the South, there are many multi-cultural areas which are fun and interesting to discover.
