What is the history behind Bora Bora One?
Bora Bora One has a fascinating history that blends the essence of traditional Polynesian culture with modern luxury. Originally envisioned as a private retreat, the villa has evolved into a sought-after destination, attracting celebrities and families over the years, further enhancing its allure.
The property was built in 2015 and underwent renovations in spring 2019, following its acquisition by a new owner. Alongside design enhancements—including the addition of local Tahaa stone walls, teak floors, sliding glass doors, and solar panels—the revamped estate now features a professional tennis court, a beach volleyball court, and a state-of-the-art gym equipped with a Woodway Wattbike, a Concept 2 rower, and a boxing area with speed bags.
The pool deck has also been upgraded, now offering daybeds, hammocks, and teak chaises for ultimate relaxation.
What is one unique aspect of Bora Bora One?
One standout feature of Bora Bora One is its breathtaking location, offering sweeping views of the lagoon and the iconic Mount Otemanu. Candidates are chosen not only for their expertise but also for their passion for exceptional service. Ongoing training and development ensure the team stays attuned to guests’ needs.
Additionally, fostering a collaborative culture and encouraging regular feedback helps create an environment where every team member is dedicated to delivering an unforgettable experience for guests. Most of the team has been with the villa for many years. The last addition was made the previous year, and that was for a newly created position.

We handle guests’ requests for additional services with a proactive approach. Our attentive staff is trained to listen carefully and respond promptly to any needs or desires. Whether it’s arranging private dining, spa services, or excursions, we aim to exceed expectations by providing personalized solutions tailored to each guest’s preferences.
Can you share the most memorable feedback or review you’ve received from guests?
In June 2024, we had the pleasure of welcoming a family travelling for the first time with their 30-year-old son, who is quadriplegic. Below is the message we received from them, which reinforced our passion for caring for our clients in an authentic and natural way.
“Dear Julio, A few inadequate words to express our thanks for the unique experience of the last seven days. The location is exquisite, of course, but the staff have been beyond exemplary and wonderfully considerate. One dish I crave the most at Bora Bora One is the fresh poisson cru, a traditional Tahitian dish made with marinated raw fish, coconut milk, and vegetables. The combination of flavors is not only refreshing but also perfectly showcases the local ingredients.
From your perspective, what would a perfect day or weekend look like for a guest at Bora Bora One?
Start your day with a delightful breakfast prepared by the private chef, enjoyed on the terrace while taking in stunning views of Mount Otemanu. Afterward, dive into adventure with a snorkeling excursion in the crystal-clear lagoon, exploring vibrant marine life.
For lunch, head to our beach house for a delicious meal just steps from the water. Spend your afternoon relaxing on the property and taking advantage of the facilities. Soak in the jacuzzi, cool off in the cold plunge pool, or challenge friends and family to a game on the tennis court.

This includes offering traditional Polynesian cuisine prepared by our Chefs, organizing cultural performances such as a Polynesian show and fire dance, and providing opportunities for guests to participate in local crafts or activities, such as weaving, ukelele lessons or fishing.
We also share stories about the island’s history and legends, giving guests a deeper appreciation of the culture.
