From its expansive outdoor areas, the villa enjoys panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, including the iconic “Whale’s Tail” sandbar in the neighbouring Marino Ballena National Park. An infinity pool spills into the lush landscape below, creating a tranquil haven for relaxation where guests can soak up the views and spot the occasional playful monkey swinging through the trees or tropical bird flying overhead. The large, adjoining Jacuzzi offers the perfect place for a soothing soak with a glass of bubbles in hand.
The surrounding terrace offers plenty of space to relax and socialise with loved ones, including plenty of sun loungers, an outdoor kitchen with a barbecue and chic bar, and a shaded lounge area with plush seating. For idyllic sunset drinks, one end of the terrace juts out over the jungle below, featuring a cosy sunken lounge surrounding an inviting fire pit, perfect for evening cocktails and stargazing.

Carefully curated artworks throughout – including hand-selected glass plates from an esteemed artist in Maui – create a sophisticated yet homely atmosphere.
A grand foyer leads into the vast open-plan living area, which comprises a plush lounge setting, an elegant dining table beneath statement lighting, and a contemporary kitchen with a chic marble island and gourmet appliances.
The villa’s five bedrooms are spread across its two levels. All feature en-suite facilities, whilst the master suite also boasts an outdoor bathtub where guests can enjoy a luxurious soak with the soothing soundtrack of the waves below. There are four spacious king-sized rooms, plus a home office, which can be used as an additional bedroom for a single guest.

About the area
Casa LaVista is located just outside the coastal town of Uvita in Puntarenas. Its secluded setting is perfect for soaking up the area’s natural surroundings, yet offers easy access to nearby beaches, the Uvita town centre, and the stunning natural beauty of the Marino Ballena National Park.
The park is a hub of marine and coastal activity. Whale watching is a top draw, with two distinct humpback whale migration seasons: December to March (northern hemisphere) and July to October (southern hemisphere). Visitors can also spot resident dolphins year-round. Beyond whale watching, the park offers excellent opportunities for snorkelling and diving, particularly around the vibrant coral reefs near Ballena Island and the famous “Whale’s Tail” formation.
Visitors can also enjoy kayaking through mangrove forests and gentle hikes through the lush jungles to spot howler and capuchin monkeys, sloths, iguanas, and a vibrant array of birds, including toucans and scarlet macaws.
