Chalet Machapuchare offers a unique combination of authentic charm and luxury in the semi-private enclave of Le Crêt in Val d’Isère. Its elevated position provides breathtaking, uninterrupted views of the valley, village rooftops, and the stunning peaks beyond.
Guests can enjoy these panoramic views from balconies and terraces on multiple levels. On the second-floor terrace, a raised platform features a large, bubbling Jacuzzi. The elevated location of the Jacuzzi offers the best vantage point for enjoying a glass of champagne after skiing while watching the alpenglow illuminate the peaks.
This chalet spans five floors and covers 500 square metres, offering much more than a typical luxury rental. The interiors showcase an elegant blend of traditional Alpine heritage and contemporary style. Guests will discover unique, handcrafted details throughout the space, such as a coffee table made from an antique cider press, lighting fixtures created from wooden casings of Beaufort cheese, and a boot room bench fashioned from a horse carriage wheel.
The heart of the chalet is the second floor living area, where double-height ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows frame the mountains and open out to the wraparound terrace. A striking central fireplace separates the plush lounge from the elegant dining area and chic bar. Tucked away behind the dining area is a spacious kitchen, fully equipped with modern appliances.
The chalet’s ground floor is dedicated to wellness and entertainment. It features a stunning indoor swimming pool equipped with a counter-current system, set against a unique, living wall of plants that brings the outdoors in. Guests can also unwind in the hammam, take an invigorating ice bucket shower, enjoy treatments in the dedicated massage room, or work out in the fully equipped gym. Behind the spa area is a spacious, soundproofed cinema room with tiered seating, offering a cosy escape for movie nights.
The chalet sleeps up to 14 adults and one child across seven individually designed en-suite bedrooms. The top floor features two magnificent master suites, each with soaring ceilings and a private balcony. This floor also offers a reading area and a hidden snug, perfect for those seeking a moment of solitude.
The remaining bedrooms – spread across the ground and first floors – are versatile, configured as doubles or twins, ideal for families or corporate groups. A family suite with an adjoining bunk room is perfect for those travelling with young children.
