About the area
Villa Mayoas is located in San Carlos, in the north-east of Ibiza, the area known as the epicentre of the hippy culture.
With typical white-washed buildings and surrounded by fig trees and traditional Ibicenco houses, it has a nostalgic feel, as if time has stopped. This old school charm is mesmerising and there’s an abundance of quaint bars and restaurants to keep you entertained, as well as an eclectic market with brightly-coloured stalls. A must-see place is Bar Anita, a popular meeting place since the 60s.
Some of the best beaches in the area include Cala Nova, Cala Leña, Aguas Blancas and Cala San Vicente.
