Set within a sprawling 150-hectare private parkland in the hills outside Florence, Villa Piaggia is a stunning 14-bedroom estate. The property forms the centrepiece of a working farm producing organic olive oil and honey, capturing the essence of a traditional Tuscan hamlet.
Designed for large-scale gatherings and retreats, the estate offers a rare sense of scale while maintaining the intimate feel of a private family home. The outdoor living spaces are dominated by a 14-metre swimming pool set within a manicured lawn and bordered by a stone wall. The pool area is outfitted with sun loungers and large umbrellas, offering panoramic views over the estate’s landscaped gardens and the rolling Tuscan countryside beyond.
The grounds also include a traditional loggia, providing a shaded al fresco dining space for large parties, as well as a private chapel. Every outdoor area offers panoramic views across the estate’s woods, where guests can participate in truffle hunting and nature walks.
The villa’s architecture is defined by its historic stone facade with classic green shutters, surrounded by a landscape of ancient olive groves, vineyards, and dense forest. The decor is rich with history, featuring terracotta floors, beamed ceilings, and a “Hunting Lounge” furnished with tufted leather Chesterfield sofas and antique artworks.
The interior is a beautiful blend of grand, formal lounges and rustic farmhouse charm. The ground floor houses the main social spaces, including a dining hall with an oversized timber table, a private library, and a traditional billiard room. The professional-grade kitchen at the heart of the home features a marble-topped breakfast table and a large walk-in pantry. On the upper floor, an additional magnificent living room provides a quiet vantage point with some of the best views over the valley.
13 well-appointed bedrooms spread across the first and ground floors sleep up to 26 guests. Each uniquely decorated room features traditional Tuscan textiles, many with four-poster timber frames and headboards in bold green, red, and floral patterns. The first floor contains 12 bedrooms, including a master suite with a private terrace. The ground floor houses a wheelchair-accessible suite, providing flexibility for diverse groups.
