Villa Poggio alle Corti
9 Bedrooms — 18 Guests
An 11th century farmhouse perfectly blending history with modern luxury
Villa Poggio alle Corti is an 11th-century stone farmhouse estate positioned on an elevated hillside overlooking the rolling Tuscan countryside. Set against a backdrop of olive groves, vineyards, and landscaped gardens, this nine-bedroom property combines preserved architectural elements with expansive spaces across a main house and guest cottage.
The property is surrounded by dense greenery and tall cypress trees, offering a private rural sanctuary for up to 18 guests. The grounds unfold across stone-paved terraces and garden levels framed by traditional stone walls and flowering hedges. An outdoor swimming pool is built into the stones, bordered by sun loungers and pathways that navigate the terraced landscape.
Multiple outdoor lounge areas are positioned on the other terraces, with plenty of places to sit back and capture views across the valley. Beneath a timber-beamed pergola attached to the stone walls, an outdoor dining setup provides space for al fresco meals beside stone benches and terracotta planters. More active guests can find a private tennis court and boules court hidden amongst the trees.
Inside, the estate features vaulted stone ceilings with exposed timber beams and red terracotta tiled flooring throughout. A grand vaulted hallway with exposed stone walls leads into the living spaces, featuring arched glass doors that open out to the terrace views. Guests can choose to dine and lounge in this large common space or make their way to the adjacent kitchen with a large range cooker and plenty of space to dine in a more intimate setting.
Additional leisure spaces include a dedicated fitness room, alongside a games room with a pool table and dartboard set beneath a vaulted stone ceiling.
The main villa features six bedrooms on the first floor, while three bedrooms are situated within the independent guest cottage. The main villa accommodations include four-poster beds, floral headboards, framed artwork, and antique wooden chests of drawers, alongside en-suite or shared bathrooms. The guest cottage bedrooms feature twin layouts that convert into king-size beds on request, catering flexibly to larger groups.
With its multi-building layout, extensive recreational facilities, and peaceful position, Villa Poggio alle Corti provides an authentic base for discovering Chianti.
