A charming 14th century luxury property with swimming pool in Umbria set in manicured garden

Villa San Savino is a luxurious four-bedroom property situated in Umbria, only 20 km from Perugia. It offers guests the perfect backdrop for laidback holidays in complete privacy and tranquility.

This luxury residence is part of one of Italy’s most select private country estates; it is one of the oldest properties in the grounds and once served as one of the estate’s main social gathering points. Though expertly restored and modernised, it still boasts some of its original features including the kitchen with terracotta tile floors and imposing stone walls, and the former chapel’s façade, both seeped in history.

The villa’s exterior is covered in colourful ivy, helping it to blend in with its natural surroundings. A large, heated swimming pool overlooks the rolling hills of Umbria, and is surrounded by sun loungers ideal for catching the rays. There is a spacious garden with various al fresco living and dining areas to relax in including furnished terraces and verdant lawns. A wooden terrace jutting out over the valley below is the perfect place to watch the sun set whilst sipping a glass of local wine.

Indoors, the villa is stylishly decorated and exudes an inviting atmosphere where guests can completely relax and slow down. The main living and dining room is a former chapel, which adds to its atmosphere. There is also a second cosy living space with sofas and a fireplace, perfect for catching up with a holiday read or relaxing of an evening.

The country-style kitchen is fully-equipped with all the modern amenities needed to cook up a tasty Italian feast.

Each of the four well-appointed bedrooms features en-suite facilities. The master bedroom on the ground floor also boasts direct access to the garden.

The estate features its own restaurant specialising in local cuisine, and guests are granted discounted rates at nearby Antognolla Golf Course, an 18-hole championship course designed by renowned architect Robert Trent Jones Jr.

Additionally, the guests have numerous activities available to enjoy, from yoga and Pilates, to hiking, cycling, or fishing. For utter indulgence, guests can also enjoy wellness therapies in the comfort of their villa.

Villa San Savino is a chic countryside property ideal for a group of eight guests looking to discover Umbria’s cuisine, culture and natural beauty.

NB: From the estate entrance there are 3 km of white gravel road to reach the villa. Whilst the road is in good condition, it is not suitable for low-height cars.

Why guests love our villas...

A wonderful week at Villa Fe

5/5

"The Villa Fe is beautiful and fully equipped with everything one could want for a week or more stay on the Tuscan coast. The on-site staff, Tatiana and her husband, were so charming and helpful with recommendations. They kept the property in tip top shape without being intrusive. We had eight people there (three couples and two singles) and no one had to share a bathroom. The view from the property is gorgeous and the pool is beautiful. During our seven day stay, we ate dinner at the villa four nights. It really was a bargain for the quality of the home, the amenities, service and location. It's two and a half hours from Florence, but not a bad drive for a day trip that was wonderful, but crowded, and then we got to retreat to the solitude of Villa Fe. I recommend it highly and hope that you enjoy staying there as much as we all did."
