Luxury Villas in Halkidiki

Halkidiki is a peninsular set just below the city of Thessaloniki on mainland Greece. It boasts the longest single stretch of coastline in the country and is known for its three distinct peninsulas – Kassandra, Sithonia and Athos – that just out into the sea like fingers.

Kassandra is the most developed of the peninsulas and is home to modern beach resorts, luxury hotels, nightclubs and marinas. It is family-friendly with golden-sand beaches and waterfront restaurants a-plenty.

Sithonia has a quieter, more laid-back vibe with smaller villages and more rugged landscaped. The beaches and coves are unspoilt, whilst away from the coast there are dense forests with beautiful walking trails to explore. Windsurfing, snorkelling and hiking are all popular pastimes.

Athos is largely undeveloped and is home to a large monastic community, which is off-limits to most. Visitors can still explore the villages on the outskirts, or view the UNESCO World Heritage protected-site from the water.

In-land in central-northern Halkidiki, the region is mountainous and forested, with canyons, rivers and natural springs to explore. There are also many charming villages dotted throughout.

  • Sparkling blue waters, sandy beaches, and dense forests
  • Vibrant reefs, underwater caves and old shipwrecks
  • Charming fishing villages and rural towns
  • Stalactites and stalagmites in Petralona’s Cave
  • Snorkel in crystal-clear waters or hike in lush, green forests
  • Take a boat trip to admire the monasteries of Mount Athos from afar
  • Hire a car and explore some of the charming fishing villages along with coast
  • Taste local delicacies including wines, herbs, oils, and dairy products
